There will be a light buffet this evening and a bar.

Venues

The wedding ceremony is at All Saints Church, Church Lane, Binfield RG42 5NS.

Our reception will take place at the Great House Lodge, The Great House, Sonning-on-Thames RG4 6UT.

Dress Code

Dress code is formal during the day but more relaxed in the evening, ready for a dance or two.

Parking, Directions and Other Information

The travel time between All Saints Church and The Great House is about 20 minutes (7.5 miles / 12km). There is plenty of parking down the small lane adjacent to the church.

Traffic does tend to be slow approaching Sonning as there is a one-way system over the bridge. The Great House is on the right just before you reach the bridge if coming from Twyford.

Parking at The Great House will be reserved in the lower area of the car park farthest away from the entrance. There are limited spaces. However, all guests should be able to park here. We suggest if you are coming from the hotel on Friday morning you share cars where possible.

If you have reserved a room at the hotel, check-in is from 15:00 and check-out the following day at 11:00.

Breakfast is from 07:00 to 11:30 on Friday and from 08:00 to 11:30 on Saturday.

The nearest train stations are Twyford (2.5 miles / 4km) or Reading (3.6 miles / 6km). There are direct trains on the Elizabeth Line from London Paddington.

We know that it is traditional to give a gift to newlyweds, but the only gift we truly desire is your presence to celebrate with us on our special day.
LOCAL PLACES OF INTEREST

If you are arriving on Thursday 28th May there is a riverside walk to Shiplake which starts on the other side of the bridge (which can include a round walk) or you may just enjoy a stroll around the lovely village of Sonning. The link below may be useful.
